Mahina Lodge is located on the North East tip of Ofu Island over looking the ocean. It is one of 40 islands located in the Vava'u Group of Islands - The Kingdom Of Tonga.
Only a short boat ride from the Old harbour ( Homilei) to the Island which is shared with the local villages - who are most welcoming. The island consists of natural forest as well as a bounty of local fruits and wildlife.
The ocean surrounding Ofu island is teaming with creatures which one does not have to go far to observe.
The Lodge consists of the main reception, lounge, dinning and pub. The Chalets are designed to be self catering if not wanting to use the main facility. Supplies would have to be purchased in Neiafu before boarding the boat to Ofu.
Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner are available.
Airport and Boat transfer is advised to be booked in advance via the web site.
How to get here ?
Fiji Airways flys directly from Nadi to Vava'u - twice a week - Wednesday and Saturday.
There are also weekly flights into Nuku'alofa via Air New Zealand, Qantas, Fiji Airways.
You would then take the ferry to Vava'u or the local airline Lulutai.
An overnight stop over or two would be required.
